Linguistic cartwheels in the stylings of a rant, these are the thoughts that keep me up at night.

Better Left Unsaid

In response to an ad for this coin in my email, I sent the following letter:

I'm dissapointed that this coin was even produced.

No, I do not own one, nor will I. How can you say that you're "saluting the men and women of the country" when you don't even have a woman on the face of your coin? As a woman, I'm disheartened that you would toss around such a notable phrase and lack the physical evidence of true support of our women in military.

Additionally, my father is a US Coast Guardsman and I am appalled at your placement of the branch he has given 30 years of his life to. The USCG is as much a branch as the "big four" and it never gets the recognition it deserves. It's people like my father that are keeping drugs and terrorists out of this country, and what do they get? A tiny mention, dead last after the "big four". I understand that space may limit what you're able to do, artistically, but there was plenty of room on that coin for a USCG woman.

My advice to you is, if you're planning on making money in and on this state of tragedy, at least show a little respect to ALL parties out there in the middle east that are "defenders of freedom".

Sincerely;
Ms. XXXXXX
